Supply Chain Manager – Small Parcel Operation
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital US Distribution role, you will oversee the end-to-end management of the small parcel operations at Amgen's Louisville Distribution Center (LDC).
The Supply Chain Manager for small parcel ensures compliance that all work is completed per cGMP, OSHA, and all Amgen policies and regulations. Fundamental to this role will be the responsibility to evaluate and advance the small parcel operations end-to-end for the US Distribution.
Responsibilities:
Ensure current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Safety compliance
Manage staff supporting warehouse, storage, distribution, and transportation for small parcel
Ensure that metric targets are achieved and establish standardized mechanisms to measure progress against targets
Contribute to business decisions impacting US Market and/or Louisville Distribution Center Operations
Collaborate with 3rd party transportation service providers to ensure adherence to service levels, identifying performance improvement opportunities
Manage and improve track & trace and intercept & return processes
Maintain dotted line supervision of warehouse service provider team
Establish an optimal portfolio of transportation shipping solutions to ensure reliable distribution capabilities of cold chain products and execute temperature monitoring plan to assess performance
Apply Operational Excellence or Lean methodologies to the development and improvement of Samples Program processes
Understand and incorporate risk management strategy into overall supply chain strategy for delivery of product
Ensure compliance with required training for staff supporting Amgen business
Manage quality records related to Small Parcel Operations (i.e., inventory, compliance, distribution)
Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits
Revise, update, review and approve controlled documents
Interact with the FDA and other governmental or regulatory inspection agencies

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree
Or
Master’s degree and 2 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience
Or
Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience
Or
Associate’s degree and 8 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience
Or
High school diploma / GED and 10 years of Supply Chain or Operations experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of supply chain business processes in the Pharmaceutical industry (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver & Return)
Understanding of Pharmaceutical industry requirements (GMP, GDP, DOT, IATA & Import/Export)
Experience with ERP-SAP (Transportation Management & Order to Cash)
Experience managing 3rd party service providers
Experience evaluating/implementing transportation shipping solutions for cold chain
Ability to liaise/communicate effectively and easily with cross-functional teams and different cultures (excellent written and oral communication skills)
Ability to develop innovative and creative output based on interpretation and analysis
Experienced with data diagnostics, discovery, modeling, and visualization (i.e., Tableau, Excel)
Self-leadership and motivation

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
