We seek an experienced Senior Application Support and Release Manager to lead and oversee critical pharmacy applications' support, maintenance, and release management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in long-term care (LTC) pharmacy application management and will be skilled in managing the end-to-end release process. This remote role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensure the stability and reliability of applications, and bring together cross-functional teams to drive successful outcomes.

- Application Support Management: Lead the support team in providing high-quality, timely resolution of application issues. Ensure that pharmacy applications are stable, reliable, and optimized for performance, meeting the business's needs.
- Team Leadership: Manage a remote team of 3+ analysts responsible for providing user support for multiple applications. Ensure that user issues are handled promptly and efficiently, recognizing the critical importance of keeping pharmacy operations running without disruption.
- Release Management: Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of application releases, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. Work closely with QA, product, and operations teams to ensure smooth and timely deployments.
- Quality Assurance (QA) Management: Oversee the application release QA process to ensure that all releases meet the highest quality standards. Collaborate with QA teams to design, implement, and manage testing strategies that identify and resolve potential issues before deployment.
- Incident and Problem Management: Oversee the incident and problem management processes, ensuring that root causes are identified and resolved to prevent recurrence. Develop and implement proactive monitoring and maintenance strategies to reduce the likelihood of issues.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Utilize strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex application issues. Ensure the support team has the tools and knowledge to handle technical challenges.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize release activities, and meet business needs. Communicate effectively to manage expectations and inform all parties of progress and potential risks.
- Technical Expertise: Leverage your in-depth knowledge of pharmacy systems, particularly FWLTC (Framework LTC) pharmacy systems, to guide support and release activities. Ensure the applications are configured and maintained according to best practices and industry standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve application support processes, release management, and overall system performance. Implement best practices and drive initiatives that enhance the reliability and efficiency of pharmacy applications.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in application support, release management, or a related role focusing on LTC pharmacy systems.
- In-depth experience with FWLTC (Framework LTC) pharmacy systems is required, as these systems are central to operations in LTC pharmacies.
- Strong understanding of release management processes, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of releases.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum frameworks, often used to manage projects and releases efficiently.
- Experience managing a remote team of 3+ user support analysts, ensuring that critical application issues are addressed promptly to maintain seamless pharmacy operations.
- Proven ability to coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Proven ability to manage the QA process for application releases, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with experience in resolving complex application issues.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience in managing and mentoring teams.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Pharmacy, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Preferred Skills:
- Agile Management or Scrum Master certification.
- Familiarity with other pharmacy systems and applications such as DocuTrack, ECM, and EMRs.
- Understanding healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, particularly those relevant to LTC pharmacies.
- Working knowledge of PowerBI, SSRS, and SQL.
