As a GE Appliances’ Senior Administrative Assistant - Air & Water Microenterprises, you will coordinate, manage, schedule and support the executive teams for three of our Microenterprises. This energetic and organized self-starter will support the leadership and their teams, as well as providing administrative support for effective ME functioning.

Senior Administrative Assistant - Air & Water Microenterprises

How You'll Create Possibilities

  • Provide Administrative support to the leaders of Air Products and Water Heating Microenterprises, which comprises Room Air Conditioning, HVAC, Commercial AC, and Water Heating initiatives

  • Exercise initiative and responsible decision making on a wide range of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision

  • Anticipate needed action and handle follow-up independently

  • Interact at all levels (internal/external) with confidentiality and professionalism

  • Coordinate/plan/schedule executive level meetings, appointments, and travel, including frequent international travel

  • Coordinate and plan customer and supplier visits

  • Coordinate and support training events at the four training centers across the US (one in each of the following locations: Louisville, KY; Dixon, CA; Dallas, TX; and Stamford, CT)

  • Produce creative executive level presentations

  • Order assets/supplies and manage expense reports

  • Manage visa/passport process for the Executive Team as it related to international business travel

  • Assist and coordinate HR activities including but not limited to team events and activities, interviews, onboarding, human resource related reporting and scheduling

  • Manage ad hoc projects and requests, including office renovations

What You'll Bring to Our Team

Position Competencies (Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)

  • Proven ability to function as a seasoned individual contributor with a strong track record of performance.

  • Capable of working under limited supervision in routine situations, demonstrating independence and reliability.

  • Able to provide assistance and training to lower-level employees, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

  • Skilled in addressing non-routine problems that require basic analysis to understand and resolve.

  • Proficient in making minor adjustments to working methods and independently developing effective solutions to problems.

  • Able to handle delicate situations in a confidential manner

  • Demonstrated computer skills including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software (i.e. PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc.)

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to prioritize assignments while remaining organized and efficient

Educational and Experiential Background

  • Minimum of 2-year college degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 5 years supporting an Executive Team

Preferred Education/Experience

  • Previous experience supporting global teams and/or teams in multiple sites with multiple time zones

  • Previous experience working with multi-cultural teams

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Working conditions are typical for an office environment.

  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required.

  • No ongoing or regular travel required.
