This position is responsible for compliance audit, reporting, analysis and identifying compliance issues and remediations for programs to support continuous compliance adherence to external regulatory entities and internal policies and processes using applicable tools.
The role of the Quality Assurance and Compliance Specialist is to:
Perform/Measure/Document and Report Compliance Audits- Perform internal compliance audits to ensure adherence to regulations and internal processes (e.g., controlled substance management, hazardous waste management, site safety). Make appropriate remediation plans to resolve gaps. Communicate results to key stakeholders using internal procedures and documentation. Identify compliance risk and conduct root cause analysis on compliance gaps or internal audit findings.
Positions in this function will also be responsible for supporting centralized compliance tasks for their assigned territory
Support/Coordinate/Perform Special Projects: Provide input into and/or create supporting documentation (e.g., reports; presentation materials) for special projects. Provide information, assistance, and/or oversight to facilitate project implementation.
Demonstrate Knowledge of Operations Systems, Tools, and Processes -Demonstrate understanding of relevant federal and state regulatory guidelines (e.g., CMS). Demonstrate understanding of standard operating procedures, policies, and processes

Primary Responsibilities:
Perform a Compliance Site Visit for every site in your assigned territory
Provide onsite compliance support in identified at-risk sites
Provide virtual/remote compliance support in identified at-risk sites
Collaborate with Operational leaders to develop remediation plans and identify additional support needs from cross functional teams
Navigate multiple computer programs to review and document audit findings, remediation plans and support centralized compliance tasks
Develop and maintain a clear understanding of company policies and procedures
Identify and document errors and issues identified from case reviews
Partner with other members of the team to evaluate adherence to policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:
HS Diploma/GED
Pharmacy Technician License in the state you reside
2+ years of Pharmacy Operations Experience
Intermediate proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint),
Able to work Monday-Friday
Able to work an 8 hour shift between 8am CST-8:30pm CST
Preferred Qualifications:
Active/current National Pharmacy Technician Certification (i.e., eXCPT, NCCT, PTCB)
Experience with/enjoy traveling
Flexibility in scheduling

Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
