Actalent Project Engineer in Louisville, Kentucky

Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer who will be responsible for interpreting project plans and specifications, implementing the pre-construction quality plan, and facilitating project meetings. You will partner with the Project Manager and Superintendent to handle test results, inspection items, and permitting. The role also involves obtaining customer/architect approval for field changes, expediting submittals, and coordinating details with subcontractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.

  • Implement the pre-construction quality plan.

  • Facilitate project meetings.

  • Partner with Project Manager and Superintendent on test results, inspection items, and permitting.

  • Obtain customer/architect approval for field changes.

  • Expedite submittals to ensure material deliveries align with the project schedule.

  • Communicate details and requirements for the submittal process to subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Provide periodic updates of the submittal register to the customer or architect.

  • Coordinate details of various subcontractors, including verifying insurance, preparing paperwork, and requesting final payment.

Essential Skills

  • BS degree in construction or engineering.

  • 2-3 years of experience in commercial construction.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Procore.

  • Strong project engineering and project coordination skills.

  • Ability to read blueprints and handle change orders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the Louisville area and some projects in Lexington.

Work Environment

The work environment includes both office settings and project sites. Projects are primarily located in the Louisville area with some in Lexington. The company offers a collaborative and supportive atmosphere with several employee events such as cookouts, chili cookoffs, and field days. There is unlimited advancement potential for those who are dedicated and eager to grow.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00

healthcare, vision, PTO, annual bonuses and salary reviews. Gas card/truck allowance or company vehicle depending on field position within the company

Workplace Type

This is a fully onsite position in Louisville,KY.
