Position Overview:
As a Patient Support Representative, you will be a critical part of our team, providing exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers through both inbound and outbound communication channels. Your role will involve managing phone lines, responding to emails, and performing essential administrative tasks to ensure seamless support and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Support inbound and outbound phone lines for the pharmacy, addressing calls, emails, and other requests from patients and healthcare providers.
Balance priorities effectively between handling inbound calls, responding to emails, and making outbound calls.
Capture and update patient and program information accurately in our systems.
Adapt to constantly changing business rules with flexibility and organization.
Investigate and resolve issues that cannot be addressed immediately, ensuring follow-through until resolution.
Provide first call resolution where possible, and triage or escalate calls when necessary to ensure patient satisfaction.
Offer accurate availability, tracking, and shipping information for patient medications.
Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from patients, authorized representatives, healthcare providers, patient advocates, and caregivers, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Report adverse events and product complaints in line with standard operating procedures and good manufacturer practices.
Execute day-to-day operations specific to assigned programs with a focus on maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications:
strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
Flexibility to adapt to changing program rules and procedures.
Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on achieving first call resolution.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Experience in a similar role or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
salary: $16.5 - $17 per hour

Responsibilities
Support inbound and outbound phone lines for the pharmacy
Answer calls, emails and/or other requests from patients and/or healthcare providers while meeting or exceeding service level goals
Able to balance priorities, working with team members, between inbound calls, responding to inbound email requests and making outbound calls to messages left on voicemail
Accurately and completely capture information and update systems appropriately
Be flexible, organized and able to comply with constantly changing program business rules
Investigate issues that cannot be resolved at the time of the initial call and follow through until issue resolution
Provide first call resolution where possible. Demonstrate the ability to triage or escalate calls when first call resolution cannot be performed to the patient's satisfaction.
Provide availability, tracking and shipping information for patient's medication as needed
Respond to program inquiries from patients, authorized representatives, healthcare providers, patient advocates and caregivers in a prompt, courteous and professional manner ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Report adverse events/product complaint inquires received in accordance with standard operating procedures and current good manufacturer practices.
Execute day-to-day operations specific to the assigned program(s).
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
