Robert Half Bookkeeper in Louisville, Kentucky

Description

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring financial compliance within our organization. This position is a crucial part of our financial team and requires someone with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

THIS IS A PART TIME ROLE- 15-20 hours weekly

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process financial transactions including invoices, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations

• Maintain and update financial records, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date

• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial reporting

• Conduct month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

• Manage the account reconciliation process to verify that all transactions are accounted for and correctly posted

• Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to the accounts payable and receivable processes

• Assist in the preparation of financial reports such as balance sheets and income statements

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards

• Collaborate with the financial team to improve financial processes and systems

• Handle customer service inquiries related to financial matters.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Proficient in Bookkeeping practices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Payroll processes

• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online software

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred.
