University of Louisville Admissions Counselor I in Louisville, Kentucky

Minimum Requirements:Bachelors degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Grade 3 (Hourly)Position Description:The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Louisville seeks to employ a student-centered professional to conduct outreach to dependents and adult learners pursuing higher education through University of Louisville corporate partnerships. The admissions counselor will work with UofL corporate partners and other employers in the greater Louisville area to market UofL’s adult learner offerings as well as opportunities for their dependents. This position will review and adjudicate transfer and adult applicants for admission. As a counselor with the Transfer Services team, the successful candidate will assist in the development of the office's overall strategy for recruiting and supporting transfer and adult students. This position counsels and connects prospective students in person, virtually, over the phone, and via email with a variety of resources on campus including Financial Aid, Housing, and Advising. Preferred candidates must have strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. This position will include in-state travel.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdvise, counsel, and inform prospective students, parents and others seeking information about the University.Assist with review and admission decisions of applications for transfer, readmitted students, petition students, and continuing studies students.Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts to prospective adult learners and their dependents pursuing higher education through corporate partner educational benefits.Coordinate and participate in off-campus, on-campus, and virtual programs designed to introduce prospective students to the campus and other facets of the University.Work with the team in the Office of Research and Innovation and Student Financial Aid Office to create best practices in recruiting corporate partners and delivering assets to partners.Assist with outreach and applications for the Comeback Cards program for returning students.
