Overview In this position, you will enable customer success by applying project management knowledge, providing coordination, and support for delivery engagements. This role utilizes GIS and project management skills to support teams in delivering services in packages and/or short term, repeatable project engagements. They create, implement, and evaluate results of work plans, agendas, documentation, and business reporting analysis to mitigate risks. They often work in a supporting role and team of two with the technical delivery lead or a more senior consultant/project manager. This team supports our customers in the Commercial department within Professional Services. The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful. Responsibilities Effectively manage technology projects and services packages: Use your project management skills to support virtual teams during all phases of implementation including proposal/quote development, requirements, design, development/configuration, and deployment. Manage scope, schedule, and budget to provide our customers and strategic partners with meaningful solutions. Coordinate internal resources for the execution of projects Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility Ensure resource availability and allocation Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques Report and escalate to management as needed Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals Support internal teams to develop and pitch solutions by clearly understanding and communicating the client business problem and the proposed ArcGIS based solution Engage with our customers: Discover the value of location within customer workflows and drive substantial return on their investment in our platform and services by creating outstanding proposals and winning work with strategic customers Requirements 2+ years of professional experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities 2+ years of experience with a record of using technology to improve commercial customer efforts Experience developing project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules Experience working in a client-facing role with comfort communicating to clients and internal stakeholders Understanding of the ArcGIS platform and how it relates to commercial/private sector customers Project management skills with the ability to deliver projects on time and within budget Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn You thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment Excellent client-facing and verbal communication skills Excellent written communication, storytelling, and collaboration skills Experience with proposal writing, preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing Self-motivated, life-long learner Bachelor's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, or a related STEM field Recommended Qualifications Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology Experience with patial and GIS concepts, preferably using Esri software Project Management Professional (PMP) / project certification is a plus Master's in geography, Business Administration, GIS, planning, computer science, or a related field #LI-MN1
