MTSI Test and Evaluation Engineer in Los Angeles, California

As a Test and Evaluation Systems Engineer with MTSI you will provide technical expertise and support in the area of Systems Engineering. This position is located in the El Segundo, CA area (Los Angeles metropolitan area).

  • Identifying Systems Engineering-related issues and risks; performing root cause analysis; and recommending issue recovery plans or risk mitigation plans to leadership.

  • Conducting constructive technical assessments (e.g., Program Support Assessments, Preliminary/Critical Design Review assessments, Non-Advocate Reviews) to shape programs’ technical planning and improve program execution. Preparing actionable recommendations to mitigate technical and cyber risks and issues.

  • Establishing preliminary design and performance characteristics from development through production and service use

  • Collecting, reviewing, analyzing, and reporting T&E data

  • Developing test plans, detailed test procedures, and reports

  • Supporting ITT, Test Plan Working Groups

  • 5+ years of systems engineering experience

  • 5+ years of Test and Evaluation experience

  • Knowledge of systems engineering processes and application to systems Integration and Test and Validation and Verification

  • Experience with requirements definition and verification methodologies within DoD acquisition framework

  • Ability and motivation to work in a team environment with demonstrated leadership and customer interface skills

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field.

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering.

  • 10+ years' of relevant work experience in the folllowing areas:

  • DoD and commercial SATCOM and network engineering.

  • Military space systems

  • Military ground systems, such as terminals and networks.

  • Developmental and operational testing experience.

  • Education Requirements:

  • Technical Masters Degree

Clearance Requirements:

DoD Secret clearance eligibility required. TS/SCI desired.
