Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in Los Angeles, California

Description We are inviting applications for a Sr. Financial Analyst role within our team, operating in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, located in Los Angeles, California. The role involves the execution of financial analysis and reporting to support strategic initiatives and the development of cost accounting standards. This role also requires the handling of various financial systems and the maintenance of security of sensitive information.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and provide reports and analyses to support hospital and corporate initiatives

• Load data extracts into cost accounting, decision support, and budget software, ensuring data accuracy

• Establish and maintain cost accounting standards and educate users on the same

• Collaborate with department managers and administration for the annual operating budget development

• Operate various financial systems including but not limited to Kaufman Hall, Lawson, Cerner, Showcase, Kronos, and Enterprise reporting

• Analyze and explain variances and trends in expected net revenues and costs

• Assist in the capital budget approval process

• Maximize functionality from existing budget, cost accounting, and decision support systems including custom report writing

• Display advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and database query engines

• Participate in and provide assistance to various committees of the Medical Center and Finance

• Ensure the maintenance of security of sensitive information such as patient records, salary, staff, and legal information. Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role within the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry

• Proficient in Business Systems, Confluence, CRM, Crystal Reports, and Data Mining Techniques

• Familiarity with 'About Time' software

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions and Auditing

• Experience with Budget Processes and Capital Management

• Knowledge of HealthCare Billing, HealthCare Analytics, and HealthCare Claim

• Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking abilities

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field

• Relevant certifications such as CPA or CFA would be an advantage
