Description Robert Half is searching for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long-term project opportunity in the Non-Profit industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Other projects as required
Be a part of various department-wide initiatives
Coordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Carry out monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Ready monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - 7+ years of overall general accounting experience
Experience working in nonprofit organizations is a plus
Substantial knowledge in financial reporting
Command of Balance Sheet Reconciliation
Well-founded grasp of month end closings
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Proven knowledge of Microsoft Excel
BA/BS in Accounting is required
