KPMG is currently seeking a Specialist, Analytics - GIS Developer to join our Performance Transformation group in our Deal Advisory and Strategy practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Geographic Information Systems (GIS) applications and automated workflows using ArcGIS platform technologies and standard web-development tools

  • Work closely with non-GIS application developers and architects to deliver applications for other KPMG professionals and clients

  • Assist project teams in writing accurate estimates, proposals, and architectural trade-offs

  • Collaborate with the GIS Center of Excellence to leverage the newest GIS technologies on upcoming applications

  • Develop GIS applications and code in line with the team code development standards to allow for collaboration with other developers

  • Integrate disparate GIS and non-GIS data together to leverage within applications to help team members gain new insights

Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years of recent experience in a GIS developer role in the public or private sector

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in GIS, geography, cartography, urban planning, computer or data science, D&A or other related field with GIS and data analytics experience

  • Demonstrated high-level competence in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro 11, ArcSDE, Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst, Collector and 3D Analyst extensions as well as relational databases (postgresql)

  • Working knowledge of ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, REST, SOAP, and WMS web services and their associated data exchange formats including XML and JSON; backend development experience, including web development, Arcade, SQL, and Python scripting, is a plus; familiarity with AI/ML is a plus, but not required

  • Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-GIS developers, communicate work estimates and set expectations for deliverables with project managers

  • Willingness and ability to travel
