Position Overview:
The Solar Construction Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of construction & staff for solar projects to ensure successful completion on time, on budget, and with a high level of customer satisfaction. The PM will manage relationships with sub-contractors and will provide detailed status reports to management.
Requirements
Must Have Qualifications:
3 years’ experience as a Construction Project Manager or Superintendent w/ a Solar EPC/Installation firm working on commercial or multifamily projects.
Ability to manage and bring to successful completion multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Deep understanding of PV & energy storage system design, site selection, construction, and commissioning processes.
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
Prior experience with project management software, ideally smart sheet.
Possess a general understanding of solar and battery incentive programs.
Location: Remote in the U.S.A. (close to a major airport)
Travel: 50%
Reports to: National Construction Manager
Skill Level: Intermediate
Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
Areas of Expertise: People Management, Construction Management, Project Management, Communications, General Contracting, Solar Installation
Compensation: $100K + Bonus
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with contractors and internal support staff to efficiently complete Solar installation projects – both rooftop and larger ground mount.
Responsible for developing and maintaining on-time schedule, budget, and quality requirements, for all projects.
Maintaining regular communications with clients and contractors to address concerns and provide status updates.
Traveling to jobsites to ensure project starts, progresses, and is completed per contractual obligations.
Providing direct assistance to internal staff for coordination, planning, scheduling, subcontracting, and scope clarifications.
Providing regular status reports to ICAST Management.
Initial Goals:
Complete ICAST onboarding process within 1 week of start date and training program within 30 days of start.
Assume the Solar Project Manager role for existing and new projects within 30 days of start date.
