Role Overview
The Senior Manager of Finance Process, Data, and Systems Analysis is a strategic role responsible for driving the analysis and optimization of financial processes, data management, and business systems to help scale for continued business growth. In this capacity, you will build and lead a small but mighty team that partners with Finance stakeholders to conduct process maturity assessments, redesign workflows, identify and implement process automations, and document business system requirements and data flows.
As a leader in this emerging function, you must have the ability to be strategic and also dive into the details yourself such as hands-on program management, documenting workflows, defining requirements, etc. You will leverage your Finance and technical knowledge and build effective partnerships with Finance, Product and Engineering teams to deliver transformation initiatives and enhance operational efficiency across the organization. This position is highly visible and requires collaborating with all levels of the organization and working with global teams. This is a hybrid position that can be based in either Los Angeles or Los Gatos and offers the flexibility to work remotely part-time. Occasional travel to other office locations, including internationally, may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
Collaborate with global finance leaders to align policies and standardize finance processes across geographies and business verticals.
Influence policy and process decisions to maximize the effectiveness of systems without unnecessary customization.
Manage cross-functional relationships to promote and align on consistent global solutions and drive digital transformation.
Work with teams outside of Finance to understand upstream and downstream process and system impacts and influence positive change of end-to-end processes.
Process, Data and Systems Analysis
Lead process maturity assessments to uncover workflow, data and system gaps to inform transformation roadmaps.
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to map end-to-end processes and evaluate opportunities for standardization, optimization, and automation.
Utilize standard Business Process Management (BPM) tools to document current and future state processes, identify maturity gaps, and propose automation opportunities.
Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify underlying issues and recommend effective solutions.
Analyze data sources and flows to address data quality issues and make informed data governance recommendations.
Work with business subject matter experts to document requirements, use cases and facilitate UAT.
Process Automation and Innovation
Lead process optimization and automation initiatives.
Leverage automation technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Machine Learning (ML), and Intelligent Document Automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Partner with Product & Engineering to build competencies in Generative AI within Finance, and develop self-service models to boost productivity for finance users.
Team Leadership and Development
Hire, mentor, and lead a team of business systems, data, and process analysts.
Enhance the function’s maturity by developing tools/templates and providing education to peers and business partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field; a graduate degree is a plus.
12+ years of experience in business systems analysis and process automation.
5+ years leading a team of business and process analysts
Proven track record in conducting process maturity assessments and standardizing global processes.
Proficiency with Business Process Modeling tools.
Deep knowledge of Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Record to Report processes
Deep experience collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to deliver intelligent automations
Hands-on experience partnering with Product and Engineering implementing software solutions (such as ERPs) for Finance
Familiarity with emerging GenAI tools for Finance
Business Process Management certification is advantageous.
Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma is an asset
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $220,000 - $610,000.
