Job Description

Of course our sales organization includes our field reps (who sell our leading brands into retail accounts, bars and restaurants across the country) but that barely scratches the surface. Opportunities include roles in forecasting, trade marketing, business and wholesaler development, pricing and promotion analysis and key account management; it’s the strategic side of how we sell our beer. Sales are the backbone of our company—we work hard to get our product in the hands of every one of our target consumers… of legal drinking age of course

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for increasing distribution and volume across on-premise accounts and key off-premise accounts (fine dining, trendy restaurants, beer bars, and package liquor) for Kirin. 100% focus on selling products and/or upgrading number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores/convenient stores)

  • Identifying major accounts that are not being penetrated with our products, and developing a plan to establish business with such accounts Improving conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers and displaying point of sale items to increase visibility of the brand.

  • Partnering with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received and business is growing at accounts

  • Ensure activation / guidelines securing incremental distribution, menu placements, price specials / promo, brand visibility, proper glassware, product facing and displays, work w/ wholesaler rep when necessary Ensure quality activations / promotions, Food pairings or Beer education at targeted influencer accounts

  • Conducting wait staff / bartender educations, beer tastings and evening promotions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree Required

  • Certified Cicerone or Certified Beer Server preferred

  • Passion for Beer and Food and desire to build a career in sales / marketing

  • 1 to 3 years of proven results-oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry

  • An intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality

  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team to accomplish goals

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities

  • Strong sense of urgency and commitment to achieving results; and strong judgment and professional maturity

  • Fluent Japanese and Korean strongly preferred
