About Us

VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is seeking a relief internist to join our state-of-the-art, 43,000 square foot facility. As an AAHA-accredited referral center, primary care facility, and teaching hospital with 24-hour emergency service, VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital is staffed by over 50 veterinarians with specialties in Internal Medicine, Surgery, Emergency/Critical Care, Neurology, Cardiology, Oncology, Radiology, Radiation Oncology, Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Zoo Medicine, Behavior, and Rehabilitation/Integrative Medicine. We pride ourselves on our strong culture of teaching, with a large class of rotating and specialty interns and residents in multiple specialties.

Compensation

Compensation for this position is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. Relief pay ranges from $2,000 to $3,700 per shift or 25% of production.

  • 9 state-of-the-art surgery suites, including those dedicated to Neurology, Orthopedic, and minimally invasive surgery

  • 19 examination rooms

  • 2 medical procedure rooms

  • 1.5 Tesla MRI

  • 128-slice CT scanner

  • Medical Oncology suite, including a bone marrow transplant center

  • Radiation Oncology suite with a new Trilogy Unit and Eclipse Software

  • Large Physical Therapy/Rehabilitation center
