UCLA Health Recreation Therapist, Per Diem - Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital in Los Angeles, California
Description
Provide age appropriate assessment and interventions to patients within the specified time. Identify patient's strengths and problem areas based on evaluation findings and develop plan of care that is based on function and is measurable and attainable. Document evaluation findings and treatment plan in patient chart within specified time per written policies, and communicate evaluation findings to interdisciplinary treatment team. Review and revise the treatment plan based on patient's needs, responses and progress, and report ongoing patient progress with multidisciplinary team members. Document ongoing treatment progress and revisions in weekly progress notes and in discharge notes.
Qualifications
Required:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a degree in therapeutic recreation (recreation therapy).
National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
Skill in observing and analyzing patient behavior
Knowledge of theories of growth and development throughout the life stages
Knowledge of theories of recreation therapy
Knowledge of psychopathology
