Jacobs Project Engineer - Design Build in Los Angeles, California
At Jacobs, we’re making our world better with every water and wastewater project we complete, and we know the importance of quality assurance to the success of these projects. We’re looking for a skilled Project Engineer to manage and supervise subcontract and material resources in relation to construction / installation for a complex water / wastewater facility project. Based in Los Angeles, CA, you’ll work with Resident and Project Engineers to ensure technical documentation is up to date, including submittals, RFIs, design changes, and record documents.
Here’s what you will be doing:
Ensure quality levels are met at trades level
Monitor and supervise health and safety including active participation in toolbox talks
Manage the receipt, storage and handling of process equipment.
Support project plan implementation for quality, change management, and safety.
Bachelor of Science in an applicable field
Experience in the delivery of municipal water, wastewater, water resources and / or conveyance type work.
Working knowledge of construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building and client relationship building.
The physical and environmental demands required to perform the essential duties of this position include standing, walking, sitting, coordination, balance and agility demands, which may include the ability to climb, stoop, kneel, squat, grasp, reach, perform repetitive hand movements. Additional demands may involve a specific level of dexterity, grip strength, climbing and cardiorespiratory demands. The work areas may be indoor, outdoor, have loud noise, active machinery that includes high pressure fluid systems, electrical equipment, some defined confined spaces, heights and depths, fumes, air borne particles, noxious gases, and chemicals as you would come to expect in the water and wastewater design build industry.
