Postdoctoral research positionat the University of Southern California with the potential for an immediate start date. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a PhD in mathematics education or learning sciences who wishes to conduct cross-disciplinary research to develop an intelligent and adaptive learning environment for teachers and their students. Candidates should have experience and interest in mathematics education, particularly in the area of students’ learning of numbers, operations, and multiplicative reasoning, or mathematics teacher education, particularly teachers’ learning of these concepts for teaching.

The successful candidate(s) will be supervised by Dr. Copur-Gencturk and will have the opportunity to work with prominent scholars in the fields of education, computer science, and measurement to create AI- or technology-driven learning environments for teachers and to work with complex data sets to investigate the conditions under which teacher learning occurs.

The appointment is for 1 year (12 months), with the possibility of extension to another year. Review of applicants will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

The annual base salary range for this position is $66,560-$75,000 . When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations .

Minimum education: Doctoral degree in mathematics education, learning sciences or a related field
