The Alfred E. Mann School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences is accepting applications for a Pharmacy Technician at the USC University Park Campus Health Center Pharmacy. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for prescription order entry, filling prescriptions, answering phones, retrieving messages, stocking shelves, maintaining dispensing system, conducting sales, operating POS devices and providing customer services. Additional duties will include obtaining prior authorizations, billing and filing paperwork and delivery of medications to campus locations.. The applicant will participate in staff meetings and must be available to work on weekdays and some weekends.

May rotate to other USC Community Pharmacy locations.

M-F, Occasional Saturday.

Shift based on pharmacy needs: 9:00am–5:30pm; 10:00am–6:30pm; 11:00am–7:30pm.

Valid CA Pharmacy Technician License Required.

Knowledge of Medicare billing, QuickBooks billing, and Third Party Insurance billing.

RX30 Pharmacy Software, QuickBooks is helpful

The hourly rate range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00. Minimum Education: Specialized/technical training Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Completion of accredited pharmacy technician training program or equivalent experience as per Board of Pharmacy technician regulations, sec. 1793.4. Knowledge of pharmacy law, rules, regulations, pharmacology & medical terminology, manufacturing procedures. Valid Pharmacy Technician Certificate of Registration, State of California.
