Description
A for profit hospital is looking to add revenue cycle staff to its regional business office. The Medical Collections Specialist must have three years of experience with insurance collections in a hospital environment. The Medical Collections Specialist will be tasked with managing insurance accounts from the point of discharge through billing edits to contract management account net down to final collection of the expected contract amount. The Collector will maintain governmental payer knowledgeable of all billing standards and collection requirements. Acts as a collector and perform necessary follow-up to obtain the appropriately owed reimbursement for hospital services. In addition, the collector will be responsible for all accounts with a contracted insurance as the primary or current payer.
