O'Neal Industries, Inc. Material Logistics Coordinator in Los Angeles, California
Description
Responsibilities: To process and receive, materials and equipment, and maintain inventory control and records; perform related work.
Completes accurate tally of goods and services received, which includes: weight, destination, and charges from bills of lading and shipper’s declaration
Receives incoming materials and compares information on packing slip with purchase order to verify accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers
Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments; initiates retrieval of proof of delivery documents
Partner with inside sales to review and correct customer order discrepancies
Communicates with transport companies and suppliers in order to expedite, trace, or return merchandise that does not conform to specifications or purchase orders
Resolves discrepancies on the Metalware system or on manifest
Keeps records of materials received and uploads to the Imaging system for the team to access
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Related industry experience preferred
Requirements:
Possess effective communication skills, which include verbal and written
Must have experience with Microsoft Office
Willingness to learn mainframe program (Metalware)
Start time varies from 7am-8am with a consistent 8-hour-a-day schedule
