Robert Half Litigation Paralegal - Hybrid in Century City! in Los Angeles, California
Description
ROBERT HALF LEGAL has partnered with an established defense firm in their search for an experienced litigation paralegal. This is a hybrid position based out of the firm's Century City office. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years experience within a civil litigation firm environment.
Responsibilities:
Extensive case management, organizing and maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines.
Preparing legal documents and correspondence such as pleadings, briefs, deposition notices, and subpoenas with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Handling document discovery and management, including organizing, coding, and producing discovery documents using the latest legal technologies.
Assisting in the preparation of deposition and trial materials, organizing exhibits, witness files, and all other supporting documents.
Coordinating and facilitating communication between all parties involved in a case, including attorneys, clients, and external agencies.
Conducting legal research to comprehend applicable laws, rulings, and previous legal precedents related to the case.
Assisting attorneys in court and at the time of trial including preparing trial binders and managing exhibits.
Requirements
Qualifications:
A degree or certification in Paralegal Studies a plus
Extensive experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in a defense firm.
Experience with legal research tools
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal terminologies.
Experience with e-Discovery platforms and legal tech tools.
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
