The annual base salary for this position ranges from $97,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $217,700.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate's location, qualifications, skills and experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Icon Studios, part of Nike Brand Creative Digital Retail, is the team responsible for Nike’s foundational imaging for E-Commerce and beyond. As part of the Global Brand Creative team, you will have a directly visible impact on the public face of one of the world’s most coveted and recognizable brands. A Creative lead who will drive art direction from planning, to on-set, to post-production. You will be responsible for overseeing brand imaging across all Nike product categories, working across a creative team of art directors, photographers, stylists, hair and makeup and collaborating with partners in production and post-production to manage content creation at scale. You are passionate and connected to the creative industry and this ever-expanding knowledge, network and interest both inspire and drive your creative thinking.

The exceptional candidate will have a diverse and well-rounded skill set across sport and fashion image-making for both stills and video, creating inspirational, contemporary content while collaborating with a team. You are an exceptional presenter and visual communicator with demonstrated success translating business goals by balancing quality with productivity.

Art Directors lead a team of multidisciplinary designers across multiple projects, working closely with both producers and narrative leads to deliver well-crafted and innovative creative. They drive design excellence and collaboration across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that the team delivers comprehensive creative against sports moments, innovation and athletes. Coach multiple designers and build opportunities for individual development, performance management, recognition and rewards. Encouraging and leading innovative thinking, collaboration, and teamwork. They are passionate and connected to the creative industry - and this network and interest both inspire and drive their creative thinking!

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Leading Nike Brand Imaging for E-Commerce assets. Deliver outstanding photography and video content. Drive elevated art direction Nike’s video shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable and within agreed budgets. Develop and maintain relationships with photographers and external creative partners, working strategically with other leads in the business to ensure the strongest approach to external talent. Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media and technology as relevant to Nike and the design team. Collaborate and partner within the process of production at scale per Nike’s E-Commerce best practices and standards. Ensure all work is well-planned, creatively exceptional, and delivered timely. Review work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will partner with the Creative Directors, Creative Studio Teammates, Styling, Production, Post-Production, Marketing and Merchandising.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum 5+ years graphic design and art direction experience in branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport and Culture.

  • A stellar portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in digital and editorial design.

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital and experience production and publishing across formats and platforms.

  • Detailed understanding of today’s creative landscape and how people engage with content from digital products to environments and experiences.

  • Ability to collaborate with and creatively manage external agency relationships.

  • Proven ability as a manager and mentor, with a knack and passion for helping everyone on the team—especially senior-level and entrepreneurial talent—to grow, improve, succeed, and advance toward collective and individual goals.

  • Ability to lead team efforts while also working independently to deliver on individual responsibilities.

  • Proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality.

  • Laser-sharp focus with ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure.

  • Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping workstreams moving forward simultaneously.

  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at presenting and defending creative work.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with highly developed ability to foster cross-functional teamwork and an open, positive and collaborative environment.

  • Highly developed curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past.

  • Strong understanding of day-to-day editorial operations and production.
