Position description
The Division of Infectious Diseases (UCLA CARE Center) in the Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for an Adjunct Professor position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, commensurate with experience. As a member of CARE leadership, the Community Outreach & Engagement Director will chart the strategic vision for how the CARE Center will interact and build relationships with community partners. The incumbent will lead the outreach team to implement programs, activities, and strategies to engage with organizations across Los Angeles. They will create robust and diverse community partnerships and spread awareness of research and services at CARE. The incumbent will provide education services through events, seminars, and presentations for community physicians and community members. They will identify funding opportunities and write grants to support programs and initiatives. The incumbent will participate in teaching of students/trainees. A Ph.D. in Education or related field is required.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications
A Ph.D. in Education or related field is required.
Preferred qualifications
Background and experience in community outreach and education
Experience working with diverse populations
Knowledge of HIV related research
Experience with project/program proposals
Experience in relationship building and management
Experience planning, developing, and implementing programs and events
Experience effectively managing others
Strong written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
