Element Consulting BIM Administrator II in Los Angeles, California

Introduction

LAWA’s Planning & Design Division (PDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the “BIM Administrator II” position in our Technology & Innovation Unit.

Join us in our mission to “Make The Journey Better” for the billions of passengers, employees, and guests that travel to & through our Airports. The selected candidate will join our team of 40+ planners, architects, engineers, and other technical professionals to plan & design our next wave of capital investments, including airfield improvements, terminal improvements, infrastructure improvements, and more.

Essential Job Duties

The duties for this Job include, Opening and evaluating 3D models in either Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks and ACC, Administration of Autodesk BIM360 Design environment, Administration of ACC project environment, field verification of model objects in the form of attribute data, and general file organization and administration.

  • Maintaining digital library of BIM models on ACC or another platform

  • Implementing new BIM tools, select innovative solutions for automating repetitive tasks or introduce new plug-ins for existing programs

  • Ensuring BIM models remain up to date throughout the course of a project

  • Verifying that exported data from the BIM is accurate and complete

  • Participating in meetings with project teams to ensure everyone understands how to adhere to the BIM process

  • Reviewing and commenting BIM submittals

Hardware/Software Knowledge

• Autodesk Revit, Civil3D, BIM 360 Design, Navisworks, ACC, O365 SharePoint and Microsoft Office products.

Professional Experience Level/Other Qualifications

• Familiar with PM/CM functions in construction projects

• One year of experience working with BIM related processes and workflows

Education/Training

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.

Element-Specific Requirements/Notes

• May assume other duties as required/needed

• Maybe required to work beyond regular shift hours as needed

• Maybe required to work various shifts as needed

• This position offers a hybrid/telework schedule. Telework - Monday and Friday. Onsite - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please refer to LAWA’s Pilot Policy for details.

Registration/Certification

• CM-BIM (Certificate of Management - Building Information Modeling) is a plus

Salary dependent on education and experience.  Salary range:  $75K-$105K
