UCLA Health Assistant Director, Cardiac Perfusion Services in Los Angeles, California

The Assistant Director of Perfusion is responsible for managing the day-to-day clinical operation and the administrative functions of the Cardiac Perfusion services and the ECMO Program and will report to the director of Perfusion. The assistant director may perform all duties independently in the absence of the director. The assistant director may be involved in the strategic short and long range planning, performance improvement, affirmative action, staff competency and research as needed to support the growth of the service line in collaboration with the director. The assistant director will also help establish and maintain departmental policies and procedures and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures and all regulatory agencies including DHS, JCAHO, OSHA and other pertinent agencies. The assistant director will also provide leadership and direction for the staff while promoting quality, safe and cost-effective patient care in conjunction with and in absence of the director of Perfusion Services.

The Assistant Director of Perfusion will report to the Director of Perfusion,but will be expected to work independently.

Salary Range: $146,000 - $371,300 annually.Qualifications

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Assistant Director of Cardiac Perfusion Services to join our dynamic team at Ronald Regan UCLA Health in Westwood, CA. The ideal candidate will have obtained certification through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion and have either a Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABCP-approved university. You will be instrumental in leading and managing our perfusion program, staff perfusionists, and contributing your expertise and experience to ensure the highest standards of care of service. Responsibilities:

● Managing the day-to-day clinical operation and the administrative functions of the Cardiac Perfusion services and the ECMO Program

● Providing leadership and direction for the staff while promoting quality, safe and cost-effective patient care

Qualifications:

● Certification through the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion

● Bachelor's or Master's degree from an ABCP-approved university

● Minimum of five years of recent experience as a Perfusionist

● Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role, managing direct reports and managing a perfusion program is highly desirable
