UCLA Health Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator - Pediatrics in Los Angeles, California

Description

The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) will provide programmatic administrative support for multiple infantile spasms projects by: assisting in the creation of project materials, making photocopies, attending project meetings, taking minutes and sending reminder emails, and coordinating volunteers. The ACRC will support projects through data collection and management, specifically through assisting with recruitment and IRB applications, literature review, distributing questionnaires, collecting clinical data such as height and weight, either entering data or coordinating data entry and creating and/or maintaining databases, conducting analyses and other project-related tasks.

This is a limited position that may convert to career.

Salary Range: $27.08 - $43.55 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport, and build relationships.

  • Strong organizational capabilities.

  • Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions.

  • Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours to accommodate research deadlines.

  • Ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner.

  • Ability to concentrate and focus in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines.

  • Ability to be flexible in handling work delegated by more than one individual.

  • Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry.

  • Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications.

  • Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion.

  • Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a Health Care Setting.
