UCLA Health Administrative Officer II, UCLA Medical Center - Radiology in Los Angeles, California

The Administrative Officer II (AO2) will perform tasks that allow radiologist to focus on their primary clinical functions. These tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate and enhance the working environment for the Radiology department by improving workflow to increase efficiency and productivity

  • Handling outgoing and incoming communications

  • Make data-driven suggestions to improve the delivery of care

  • Prepare and analyze critical metrics in the entire imaging process

  • Responsible for developing and maintaining the course curricula & training materials for their application

  • Responsible for the testing, training and deployment of core IT application systems as they relate to the viewing and reporting of Radiologic studies in the Department of RadiologyQualifications

  • High School Diploma - Required

  • At least 2 years in a Radiology Department with Power scribe, Medicalis, Visage, Life Image, HIS, RIS, iCAP, IDX, GE component experience - required

  • At least 2 years of EMR experience - required

  • At least 2 years of EMR experience with EPIC - preferred

  • Aware of policies and procedures to define problems and/or objectives and formulate logical solutions and conclusion

  • Certification in the software application for operational workflow where available

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment

  • Medical terminology to a level permitting accurate preparation of scheduling patient procedures interacting with physicians, patients and staff

  • Skill in using a computer and computer software such as excel, word Microsoft and various database programs

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact appropriately and congenially with staff, faculty, fellows, residents and patients

  • Strong working knowledge of personal computers, CC, Magview, Medicalis, PACSCUBE CD Burner, Array Digitizer

  • Working knowledge of hospital/billing forms and the ability to explain services and charges to patients and/or family
