Job Title: Metal Fabricator
Job Description
Metal fabricators are needed for a large aerospace company in the Long Beach/Los Alamitos area, with openings on 1st and 2nd shifts. Pay starts at $34.79 an hour for the 1st shift and $35.20 for the 2nd shift. These are union positions, so pay rates are set for new hires and increase over time. The 1st shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, and the 2nd shift runs from 3pm to 11:30pm.
Ideal Skills Needed:
Knowledge of the effects of heat on parts in resistance-spot welding, GTAW-seam welding operations, and manual GTAW processes
Proper use of air tools, sanding discs, scotch-brite, flapper wheels, drum rolls
Proficiency with disk sanders, belt sanders, scribe tools, Quackenbush cutters, hose clamps, calipers, micrometers, scales, tin snips, riveting equipment
Understanding of weld plugs
Ability to operate trim tooling for large ducting
Ability to read Pi-tapes and large-scale measuring equipment
Welding (GTAW)

Blueprint reading

This is a fully on-site position in Los Alamitos, California.

Large Manufacturing Aerospace Manufacturing company (500 employees). Union shop. 1st shift (6am to 2:30pm) $34.79/hr, 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm)
