Opportunity:

Virtual Service Operations is searching for a Cleared Azure Kubernetes Developer to execute the integration of a Kubernetes based infrastructure supporting customer marking and labeling needs, perform classified deployment executions, performing development, test and production maintenance, and performing use case development for customers adopting Azure Stack and Hyperscale environments. Responsibilities:

  • Kubernetes (K8s) development, testing, debugging, troubleshooting of containerized infrastructure

  • Senior level deployment yaml file, understand types of deployments, infrastructure/monitoring/health.

  • Flux, istio, OPA, hashicorp, K8s networking, sidecar proxy experience or similar technology

  • Github/Gitlab & git check in, check out, clone, git branches, git bundle/unbundle

  • Ability to monitor the availability, latency, and overall K8s health, to include the underlying Virtual Machine hosting K8s.

  • Ensure solutions are well engineered and agreed upon by team following SAFe principles

  • Work with business and engineering partners to deploy new infrastructure in Azure Government Cloud platform

  • Ability to continuously learn and critically think/team player w/communications skills

  • Monitors overall system health, performs routine maintenance, and documents / recommends new workflows for stability as required and specific to K8’s development.

  • K8 Troubleshooting and remediation activities as appropriate to include coordination with System Owners, Product Team, and Migration Team for developed K8 software remediation and identification of end-of-life replacements.

  • Complete approved configuration updates/changes and escalates as needed.

  • Follows and improves upon Change Request processes and coordination of Situational Awareness to identified points of contact.

Qualifications:

  • 10 - 15 years of relevant experience

  • At least 3 years of Linux system engineering experience

  • DevOps Engineering skills

  • At least 2 years of working experience with Shell scripting, Go, Python

  • Familiarity with PKI and/or Certificate based Authentication/Authorization

  • Azure Infrastructure as a Service such as deployment of VM’s, Azure Networking, Azure Policy

  • At least 3 years of experience in with a focus on automation testing

  • Experience with development tools such as Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, Linux shell scripting

  • Experience authoring Test cases and documenting test results

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and software testing processes

  • Understanding of the various aspects of the system development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and version control (GitHub/Azure DevOps)

  • Experience working in small teams with increasing responsibility

  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification upon start

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 or equivalent)

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Requirements

  • Must be within driving distance of Lorton, VA OR willing to relocate there (Relocation Assistance Package Available)

  • Must be willing to work onsite

  • Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance or above

  • Must possess a DOD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification upon start

Salary Description

$190,000.00 - $205,000.00
