At a Glance! **The CASAS Testing Support/Proctor is responsible for performing instructional, classroom, office, and navigational support services related to Basic Education for Adults programming for students in the evening in the College & Career Preparation Department. We are looking for someone who has strong technology skills, great attention to detail, and is friendly and approachable.

This position is categorized as an Instruction & Classroom Support Technician 1 under State of Washington Class Specification and works 75 hours or less per month. This position is a temporary part-time position not to exceed 1,050 hours in a consecutive 12-month period. The typical scheduled work hours are 4 - 8 pm (however training will be 2 weeks between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position reports to the College & Career Prep Program Manager. In person work is required.

Examples of Duties & Responsibilities

 

  • Assist with College and Career Preparation intake process and enrollment needs for evening students.
  • Administer and monitor exams consistent with testing policies and procedures while maintaining integrity, security, and confidentiality of tests, examinees, and students.
  • Provide an accurate and detailed translation and communication of exam results to staff, faculty, and examinees, which follows each exam's policies and procedures.
  • Maintain electronic records, test records, and test record security.
  • Provide frontline customer service and answer College and Career Preparation Department phone and emails after 5pm.
  • Prepare data-driven reports 
  • Other duties as assigned

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school graduate
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Self-starter with high degree of motivation, energy, flexibility and integrity
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Strong oral, written, interpersonal communication, and tech skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Google apps or similar programs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • Experience in an office setting or college testing environment desired
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish
