Cowlitz PUD Engineering Internship in Longview, Washington

Cowlitz PUD is the local publicly owned power company for Cowlitz County. We are looking to fill two Engineering Interns for this summer. *   *You are a great fit if:

General Description:

An Engineering Intern will apply basic engineering skills in the performance of entry-level engineering work including design of transmission and distribution projects and construction standards. This internship is intended to develop engineering skills and judgment. The technical work for which an Engineering Intern is responsible for will be under the supervision of more tenured Engineers and Managers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited college program leading to a Bachelor of Science degree or better in Civil or Mechanical Engineering Junior level or above.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in public power sector
  • Familiar with software programs AutoCAD or PLS-CADD

Work Environment:

The work environment conditions described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

  • Work is performed in the office Monday through Thursday 7:00 am to 5:30 pm. Remote work is not available for this position.
