The position requires close collaboration and strong relationships across the college, and partnering with faculty, staff, and other support services to maintain service alignment and promote a cohesive student experience. Additionally, the Assistant Director works closely with the Director and advising staff to support academic advising efforts under the Coordinated Care model. The Assistant Director also assists the Director in promoting a unified advising approach, ensuring that students receive consistent, high-quality advising support. In the Director's absence, the Assistant Director provides leadership to the Advising team to maintain continuity in student support. We are looking for an energetic and innovative individual with strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. This person must be student-centered, believe in our college's mission, and demonstrate a commitment to equity and inclusion. The Assistant Director of Advising & One-Stop should be organized, highly collaborative, and able to promote a culture of student success. The Assistant Director of Advising & One-Stop position is 40 hours per week. The typical schedule is 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This position provides direct student support and is primarily an on-site position, with limited ability to work remote/hybrid. This position reports to the Director of Advising, One-Stop, and Testing. We typically hire closer to the lower to middle range of the salary. Lead and supervise a diverse One-Stop Center team to promote a culturally responsive and student-centered environment that supports the college's mission, objectives, and service standards; oversee the implementation of strategies that integrate various student services into the One-Stop model, ensuring seamless access to resources and supports for students from diverse backgrounds, including racial, ethnic, religious, linguistic, gender, age, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, and varying physical and learning abilities
