Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Longview, Texas. This role focuses on providing general accounting support within the manufacturing industry, offering an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong understanding of accounting principles and a desire to expand their knowledge in manufacturing accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies
• Prepare month-end and year-end journal entries as part of the financial close process
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to maintain accurate records
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes to ensure timely payment and receipt of funds
• Research and troubleshoot any accounting issues that arise
• Collaborate with other team members to achieve overall department goals
• Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures
• Adhere to all relevant accounting principles and regulations
• Assist with other accounting tasks as required by the team. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• Familiarity with General Ledger processes
• Ability to make Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Knowledge of NetSuite software
• Familiarity with Oracle software
• Proficiency in QuickBooks software
• Experience with SAP software
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures
• Adherence to all detail oriented standards and ethical guidelines
• Willingness to continue detail oriented development and stay updated on industry trends.
