Micron is seeking an experienced Product Applications Engineer to provide world class customer field team support for qualification and maintenance of Micron’s portfolio of Cloud and Data Center NVMe SSDs.

You will excel in being the product technical expert in the NVMe cloud/data center/Enterprise product swim lanes and being the primary contact for the Micron customer field team in product related support.

Job Description

  • Build a collaborative relationship with the customer field team to ensure customer qualification success

  • Debug customer issues working with the customer field team to accelerate new product qualifications

  • Work with engineering teams to provide context and priorities for debug and define appropriate customer focused solutions

  • Provide internal status on customer qualification issues to senior and executive management

  • Product expert for features and functionality, answering questions posed by the customers as well as providing product documentation such as data sheets, app notes and errata lists

  • Maintain external product firmware portal and change lists for customer teams

  • Pareto analysis of product issues to drive improvements in future products

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience in the storage industry in development, validation or support roles

  • Bachelor Degree in EE, CE and at least 5 years of experience

  • Experience performing hands on debug to address customer issues

  • Familiarity with storage relevant industry standards (PCIe, NVMe, OCP, etc.)

  • Proficiency using Linux and Windows operating systems

  • Experience with setting up and configuring computer hardware and software

  • Domestic travel is not frequent but, may be occasionally required

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working at major OEM, Data Center or Hyperscale companies to support deployment or qualification of storage devices

  • Previous experience working at major storage device companies to support qualification or issue debug of storage devices

  • Previous experience using JIRA and Confluence for bug tracking and documentation

  • Knowledgeable with debug of hardware and software issues at a system and SSD drive level

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$109,000.00 - $185,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
