Actalent Mechanical Design Engineer in Longmont, Colorado

Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to design and execute mechanical designs for vacuum deposition systems and subsystems. This role involves performing analysis to validate design concepts and creating machine parts and assemblies using SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and an ERP system. The successful candidate will prepare assemblies and drawings utilizing GD&T.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute mechanical designs for vacuum deposition systems and subsystems.

  • Perform analysis as necessary to validate design concepts.

  • Design machine parts and assemblies using SolidWorks, SolidWorks PDM, and an ERP system.

  • Prepare assembly and drawings utilizing GD&T.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in machine design.

  • Expertise in SolidWorks.

  • Experience in sheet metal design.

  • Knowledge of GD&T.

  • Familiarity with thin film technology.

  • Competence in finite element analysis (FEA).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with M2M or other ERP systems.

Work Environment

This role involves working in a leading company with a global presence in the marketplace. The company invests significantly in R&D opportunities to promote growth within the organization. The work environment includes the use of SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM for design tasks, and an ERP system for operational management.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
