Responsibilities

Maintains operations of multi-user computer systems, virtual computer systems, COTS software products, and perform system administration
Team is responsible for monitoring and correcting system performance issues, backing up and restoring files, patching system and operating system software, maintaining software licenses and assisting the Information Assurance (IA) Team with account management and system vulnerability management
Assist the IA team by providing access to system logs, instructions for monitoring user accounts, and identifying and responding to security issues/incidents
Document concepts and procedures
Qualifications
Minimum 9 years of experience, or 7 with an advanced degree
Must have Active Secret clearance, SCI eligible (preferred)
Adept with RedHat Linux and database administrator experience preferably with PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or MongoDB
Exposure to Microsoft Windows
Awareness of IBM AIX
Knowledge/experience with CI/CD pipeline systems, virtualization, and software environment development
Ability to do patching, upgrades, configurations, backups, restores, indexing, scripting in Python/PowerShell

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly sit, walk, stand and climb stairs and steps. May require walking long distance from parking to work station. The employee must be able to communicate through speech with clients and public. Hearing requirements include conversation in both quiet and noisy environments. Lifting may require floor to waist, waist to shoulder, or shoulder to overhead movement of up to 20 pounds. This position demands tolerance for various levels of mental stress.
