NYU Langone Health System Hepatologist in Long Island City, New York

NYU Langone Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible hepatologist at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island.The candidate will devote their time to hepatology with clinical responsibilities that include managing the inpatient hepatology serviceand performance of basic endoscopic procedures. The successful candidate willdiagnosis, manage, and treatment patients with liver diseases and would be expected to develop an academic area of expertise. Applicants are welcome to bring their own area. For those finishing hepatology training, potential areas include the hepatology of inflammatory bowel disease, oncology related liver disease, chronic hepatitis B, PBC, geriatric hepatology,and alcoholic liver disease, especially its impact on a diverse, disadvantaged community. Mentorship for development for any of these areas as well as development of a clinical trials program is available.

Additional responsibilities include the teaching medical students, medical residents, and GI fellows as well asparticipating in basic/clinical/outcomes research. The academic rank at the NYU School of Medicine-Long Island will be commensurate with their experience.

The position will include a competitive salary and benefits package salaried pay, including paid CME, malpractice insurance and vacation.

NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is a 591- bed university medical center for NYU Long Island School of Medicine and an American College of Surgeons (ACS) Level 1 Trauma Center based in Western Nassau County, NY.NYU Langone Hospital-Long Island is located in the heart of Nassau County in suburban Long Island, 30 miles from NYC and just minutes from Long Island's beautiful beaches. We are also in close proximity to the Long Island Rail Road, which is an added bonus for those that live in NYC.

Compensation: $325k-$375K

The salary range listed is for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits. Actual salary may not fall within the listed salary range; consideration will be made for experience, training, hospital/community need, and other factors.
