ELC Beauty LLC Director, Enterprise Architect, Cloud Architecture in Long Island City, New York
DUTIES: Engage with Brands, Regions, Functions and Technical leaders and teams globally to set direction and oversee, accelerate and inspire the evolution of our technology capabilities. Define what key capabilities the business needs, which will be enabled by technology. Drive strategy and vision for platform architecture. Define cross-cloud approach (Azure, Google, AWS Cloud Platform) and direct technology selection, including use of container strategies (Kubernetes, EC2, Docker) and big data and integration architectures (Hadoop, Hive, MongoDB, Graph and NoSQL databases, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Snap Logic, Master Data Management). Lead by example with application architecture patterns with skills in one or several programming languages and frameworks (Python, R, Scala, C++, Java, Ruby, Angular, React, NodeJS). Champion execution frameworks and patterns to enable and accelerate agile software development practices (Test-driven development, DevSecOps including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployement, Canary deployments). Strategically and creatively look as at complex problems and systems to drive the correct implementation of the Enterprise technology and architectural standards, compliance and governance. Ensure that overall Enterprise Architecture Designs and Tool/Vendor selections facilitate and/or support the strategy and execution techniques. Create the internal and external technology followership. Synthesize business requirements with the direction of technology to generate new ideas and inventions. Research, monitor, learn, and assess industry/technology advancements and continually build alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities as a Cloud-first, Global technology leader. Perform technical evaluations of new technologies and acquisition candidates, across Public Cloud Platforms and Vendors as required.REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, or foreign equivalent and two years of experience in a Technology Architect role or related occupation. Experience must include formulating and designing Cloud architecture and blueprint for a global company; Working with the North America technology ecosystem including Amazon Webservices, Microsoft Azure, and emerging new platforms; Developing at-scale, service-oriented software using the best Cloud offering; Architecting solutions at scale across multiple Public Cloud Platforms including the cost, security and technical capability of each; Working in key enterprise domains including New Retail/Hybrid Commerce, Finance, Manufacturing, and Healthcare; Supporting the identification and implementation of a flexible technical architecture to support growth, which rationalizes Public Cloud Partners, technologies and architectures.
Minimum Salary: 137,000 Maximum Salary: 228,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
