We seek an experienced and reliable Contract Construction Laborer to work on-call with our team. This position will work as-needed assisting with the installation of patios, retaining walls, walkways, driveways, lawns, and other projects, using a variety of tools and materials. This position is expected to work outdoors in all conditions and to work weekends when needed. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites: Remove debris and hazards, and set up materials
• Load and unload materials: Move building materials, equipment, and tools to the construction site
• Operate equipment: Use power tools and heavy machinery like excavators and skid tracks.
• Build and dismantle structures: Erect and take down scaffolding, bracing, barricades, and forms
• Dig trenches and compact earth: Prepare the ground for construction
• Perform physical labor: Dig, lift, carry, measure, cut, and shape materials
• Follow instructions: Follow construction plans, blueprints, and instructions from coworkers and supervisors
• Ensure safety: Follow safety regulations and guidelines, and set braces to support safe work
• Clean and maintain: Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
• Assist tradespeople: Help tradesworkers like electricians, plumbers, carpenters, bricklayers, and masons

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• 18 years old or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong proficiency in using hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of machine operation (compact tractor, mine excavator, skid track) preferred.
• Experience in construction site work preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 pounds, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.

• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.

Starting Pay The 1099 Contract Construction Laborer, on-call position is a 1099 independent contractor position and is paid $21 per hour with no tax deductions or overtime pay. The independent contractor pays all employment taxes.
