The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop high-level software solutions in the space domain and will need to possess a deep understanding of space-related software development, particularly in areas such as real-time operating systems (RTOS), flight software, and autonomous systems. This candidate will also have the opportunity to identify and assess potential intellectual property (IP) opportunities within projects while designing and developing robust software architectures and requirements that align with project goals and industry standards.

Must-haves:
Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or other related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
Proficiency with one or more of the following software languages: Java, C++, C#, Python
Experience with software architecture design and requirements development
Demonstrated ability to work the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, unit testing, test frameworks and reference architectures
Experience implementing and optimizing software solutions for real-time operating systems
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in space software development
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Proven experience in software development, with a focus on space-related projects
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance
Preferred:
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, etc.
Experience with RESTful APIs, Frontend, Web Frameworks
Experience utilizing Container Management and Containers (Kubernetes, Docker)
Experience with system provisioning tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.
Experience with Machine Learning/AI capabilities
Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $143,487.14 - $197,294.82. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
