If you have a background in people management within a Reimbursement environment, this is a fantastic opportunity to join the Reimbursement Operations team at the global leader in implantable hearing devices! In this role, you will be based in our Americas head office based in Lone Tree, CO. This role offers a hybrid or remote work environment dependent on place of residence.

In this role, you will be able to directly impact the customer experience for thousands of cochlear implant recipients across North America by supervising staff and overseeing the processing of reimbursement orders. To be successful in this role, you will be expected to coach, teach, mentor, and professionally develop a team of 10+ personnel as they obtain the necessary documentation and insurance approvals to process orders through the insurance services model. The leader in this role is expected to provide our customers with world-class service by demonstrating a high degree of knowledge, integrity, and empathy when addressing customer inquiries and escalations. You'll have the opportunity to make a significant contribution to Cochlear's successful history of innovation by applying your knowledge and experience of reimbursement data entry and order processing, leading by example, accountability of yourself and your entire team, strategic thought, and follow-through. You'll know you've been successful in this role when your team has exceeded Cochlear's lofty reimbursement goals while demonstrating the highest standards regarding ethics, teamwork, work-ethic and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance to team members when questions or concerns arise and being a subject matter expert on insurance related situations
  • Evaluate and adjust team member work and region assignments based on team member's knowledge, skill set and business need
  • Hold team members accountable for assigned tasks by monitoring and appraising performance, providing feedback timely and engaging in disciplinary action when applicable
  • Identify areas for improvement and training needs within the team and communicating this information to fellow leadership and Talent Development as necessary. Responsible for providing feedback to cross-functional business partners when necessary

Key Requirements

To add value to Cochlear in this role you'll be able to meet and demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and abilities in your application and at interview:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Work Experience
  • 2-4 Years of Experience
  • 1-2+ years of leadership and/or coaching experience
  • Extensive knowledge of government insurance and commercial insurance

Salary and Benefits

In addition to the opportunity to develop your knowledge and grow professionally, we offer competitive wages and benefits.

  • Target Salary Range in the United States: $68,000 - $73,000 based upon experience, as well as an annual bonus opportunity of 7.5% of base salary. Compensation offered to candidate may vary based on work experience, education and/or skill level.
  • Benefit package includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance as well as 401(K) matching with immediate vesting Paid Time Off, tuition reimbursement, maternity and paternity leave, Employee Stock Purchase Plan and pet insurance.
