Job Description:

We’re one of the world’s largest providers of transportation and logistics services. Our customers range from small and mid-sized companies up to global enterprises. Our Global Logistics and Distribution business unit provides comprehensive logistics services and warehousing solutions utilizing a global network of distribution centers, innovative technology and supply chain expertise to manage the flow of goods from receiving to storage and order processing to shipment.

Job Summary:

The Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) Operations Excellence (OE) IV steers quality initiatives, process documentation support, productivity improvements, and inventory management for UPS SCS Logistics and Distribution Operations in North America. This person develops SCS OE strategies to meet business objectives and to optimize operational performance.

This position leads the establishment and deployment of daily operational procedures and measures, oversees customer transportation plans and operational training programs as a part of the OE scope. This position manages Quality Assurance / Inventory III, SCS OE III, Operations Trainer IV, and Transportation III positions.

Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt or Master Blackbelt - Preferred

  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - Preferred

  • Proven Leadership and People Management Abilities - Preferred

  • Deep Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) - Preferred

  • Effective Project Management skills - Preferred

  • Prior Quality Management experience - Required

  • Experience leading continuous improvement activities - Required

  • Bachelor's degree or be a current employee with 3 years of UPS experience - Required

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location - Required

Other Criteria:

  • Job Grade: 30E

  • Typical working hours: Mon-Fri 0830-1700, overtime might be required to support audits and special projects.
