nVent Sales Manager - HOFFMAN - (Ontario, Midwest, and Western Canada) in London, Ontario

WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Lead all aspects of the achievement of the sales quota for 5 employees and grow the region of Ontario, Midwest, and Western Canada, with key accounts through distribution/channel sales
Regularly meet with Distributor/Channel Reps to develop a greater understanding of their desires from the nVent HOFFMAN product line, brand strategies and initiatives to achieve sales goals
Hold distributor and sales office meetings to update sales teams on promotions, introduce innovation, and receive input
Work cross-functionally with global product category teams, marketing, customer care, pricing, global accounts and operations, to achieve company goals
Ensure continual updates via Salesforce.com on the account and conversion status of target accounts
Maintain knowledge of competitors’ activities throughout the assigned region
Coach/mentor direct employees and reps agencies to exercise focus in sales process and company expectations regarding sales opportunities and growth
Conduct performance reviews of sales representatives and/or rep agencies annually
Nurture a strong team environment with open communication, identifying problems, and establishing resolutions while driving continuous improvement!
Resolve staffing needs and schedules
YOU HAVE:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing, or related field preferred but not required
Ability to work from a home office in Ontario, and travel 40-60% of the time across the sales region of Ontario, Midwest, and Western Canada
Ideally 8+ years in an outside sales role in an electrical, electronic, data communication, or industrial market along with 5+ years in a leadership-level capacity leading teams and also manufacturing reps
Knowledge and understanding of selling to a variety of customers through a channel/distribution model as well as manufacturer’s reps
Experience developing and leveraging partnerships to drive the strategic plan while pursuing advancement opportunities
