POSTING

In this role, you will:

  • Contribute to the development of the backend and data architecture creating and maintaining data pipelines, services and databases that enable the front-end and other systems to interact with the Stream application.

  • Responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of data pipelines and data architecture. This includes tasks such as data ingestion, data storage and data processing.

  • Design and implement user-facing features and functionalities that allow users to interact with the Stream application and data.

  • Optimize data pipeline and data storage performance to ensure fast, accurate, and efficient data processes.

  • Ensure code works as expected, and fix any bugs or issues that arise.

  • Work closely with other members of the development team, as well as with designers and stakeholders to understand the requirements and goals of the project, and to ensure that the final product meets these needs.

  • Participate in code review process using git and pull requests.

  • Stay current with the latest tools and technologies in order to be able to build cutting-edge applications.

Are you qualified? The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

  • Foundational understanding of programming concepts, ETL, and debugging techniques.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Interest in data engineering and science methodologies.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a team-oriented mindset.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience using Git, pull requests and code reviews.

  • Experience with Python, JavaScript and SQL programming languages.

  • Experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse.

  • Experience with data orchestration tooling including Apache Airflow.

  • Experience developing ETL / ELT data pipelines.

  • Experience with batch and streaming data ingestion and transformation.

  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and processing solutions, such as AWS and Azure.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies, Scrum, and project management tools such as Jira and the Atlassian Suite.

  • Experience working with RESTful API services.
