CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, are recruiting facilities management professionals to join the team at a large healthcare estate in west London.

The main purpose of this role is to provide specialist technical support and oversight to our dedicated teams and 3rd party supporting parties.

As the Technical Lead you will own the delivery and completion of critical PPM’s including remedial actions. You shall be the Authorised Person for Water Systems and work in collaboration with other Authorised and Responsible Persons to support the technical delivery of services within the contract. You will support on lifecycle projects pertinent to your package/system and be a leader on introducing AI into future schemes.

As an experienced Specialist Subcontractor Manager you will be well versed in ensuring our company adheres to legal & statutory standards and in-house policies where applicable. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations in all aspects as well as providing guidance on compliance matters for Water Systems, including H&C water systems; evaporative cooling systems; ‘Other’ water risk systems; closed water systems; Steam Boilers; etc.

As the Technical Lead you will also be well-versed in legal and clinical guidelines and corporate governance and industry best practice. You will be a professional of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete your duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. You must be comfortable holding yourself and our teams to account against their Statutory and Mandatory obligations and you must be results-oriented. Disciplines must be managed within the defined budget with costs tracked, reviewed and signed off on a monthly basis.

You will lead on defects pertinent to your discipline/system and own the relationships with Authorising Engineers and the CBRE compliance team ensuring audits, reports NCR’s and ACR’s are signed off by you with actions and recommendations closed with the Authorising Engineer/CBRE Technical leads.

Qualifications

  • ONC/HND in an Engineering Discipline (or Equivalent) or

  • Recognised qualification or certification in a statutory discipline

  • 3 years Responsible or Authorised Person(s) experience on applicable complex water systems

  • Good customer care and flexible approach to working practices

  • Proven experience as contractor manager in Hard FM Water and Mechanical Systems

  • In-depth knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations

  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping

  • A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality

  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities

  • An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations

  • Excellent communication skills
