Google Systems Engineer III, Home and Health, Pixel in London, United Kingdom

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 1 year of experience in a professional setting with web technology.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in technical troubleshooting of compute or networking systems.

  • 1 year of experience with one of the following: general coding language (e.g., Python, Java, etc.).

  • 1 year of experience in systems engineering (e.g., systems integration, systems testing).

  • 1 year of experience with interactions between hardware and software at the system level.

  • Experiences in designing or working on large Android apps, across a range of verticals and software frameworks, and consulting with external companies on best practices.

  • Ability to work across multiple programming languages and learn new technologies quickly.

You listen to the customer and swiftly problem-solve technical issues to show how our products can make businesses more productive, collaborative, and innovative. You work closely with a cross-functional team of web developers and systems administrators, not to mention a variety of both regional and international customers. Your relationships with customers are crucial in helping Google grow its Cloud business and helping companies around the world innovate.

  • Understand partner use cases and offer insights and recommendations on Android app design, development, and integration.

  • Build samples, codelabs and documents to support partners app build outs and improvements integrating with Application Programming Interface (API) across AI, enterprise and consumer.

  • Partner closely with the Software Engineering team to communicate technical feedback from partners, resolve bugs or integration problems. Resolve escalations of technical issues from technical account managers.

  • Identify, design and build required tools or partner solutions.

  • Travel up to 20% of the time to meet with current or new partners to provide support and troubleshoot as needed.
