Are you interested in driving significant packaging waste reduction projects for Amazon Europe and make a difference in the Sustainability world? We're looking for an experienced, driven, analytical, and creative Senior Product Manager to develop and drive e-commerce packaging solutions and mechanisms within the EU Sustainable Packaging Team.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying gaps and developing the required cross-functional roadmap to reach drive Amazon towards compliance with the new packaging regulations. You will develop new products designed to reduce packaging waste and void space at scale. And own an efficient communication strategy flowing seamless information between Public Policy, Legal, Central and Operational Communities including Senior Leadership. To be successful, you will need excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills to drive consensus across multiple stakeholders. We interface with core Operations (CF, ATS, AMZL), Science Research Teams, Public Policy, Legal, Finance, Procurement, and Global Packaging Team to identify and execute solutions, that improve customer experience by reducing waste and damages and ultimately drive significant savings for Amazon. In addition, this opportunity requires excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, technical environment. The ability to work independently and deal with an ambiguous environment is a must. Ownership of work is extremely important, and candidates should have a proven record of driving projects and strategic initiatives to their completion. The ideal candidate is motivated, agile, with strong time management and project management skills. You should not only be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions, but should also be obsessed with contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement, and mentorship.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own operations plans and quarterly/monthly business reviews for the EU Sustainable Packaging and specific programs

  • Work closely with Retail, Public Policy, Legal, Compliance, and Technical Leaders within Packaging Teams and Circular Economy technical leaders to compose and influence new products vision, roadmap and execution

  • Compile requirements documents, delineate use cases, define requirements based on new regulations in the packaging space, and oversee the business metrics and KPIs for your products and services.

  • Lead high-visibility, cross-team initiatives including scoping, requirement gathering, technical design, implementation, and launch phases. This includes evaluating and recommending technical solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring long-term scalability, and meeting project timelines

  • Reduce cross-organizational exposure to failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood/documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, inadequate system design, insufficient testing/gaps, etc.)

  • Demonstrate strong product management, organizational, and leadership skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

  • Experience with product cycles of 6+ months

  • Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
